2017 Rhone Rangers – San Francisco Tasting • Part 2

I’m here… now what? So many tables, so many winemakers. It’s best to cruise around and get a lay of the land before filling the glass. I started my day with a a great rosé from San Marcos Creek Vineyard and it just kept getting better.

Rhone Rangers is held in the Golden Gate Club every year in the picturesque Presidio. The old army base’s Enlisted Men’s club fills it’s three rooms with one fantastic wine maker after the other all sharing their amazing wines. It is wine geek heaven! The biggest problem is that there is only so much time and 70+ winemakers to choose from. It’s easy to walk in circles trying to figure out where to go next.
