2017 Rhone Rangers – San Francisco Tasting • Part 3
So I’m enjoying the gorgeous view of the SF Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge in the main tasting room. The delightful Steffani Anglim of Anglim Winery (in Paso Robles) stops me to tells me the story of how she saw me earlier that day arriving at the Golden Gate Club. Hilarious 😂 … she thought my camera rig was a lamp. I was cracking up. She is so delightful and fun. I’m so glad she stopped me. It was the perfect lead in for a great tasting.
Rhone Rangers is held in the Golden Gate Club every year in the picturesque Presidio. The old army base’s Enlisted Men’s club fills it’s three rooms with one fantastic wine maker after the other all sharing their amazing wines. It is wine geek heaven! The biggest problem is that there is only so much time and 70+ winemakers to choose from. It’s easy to walk in circles trying to figure out where to go next.
I love my wine adventures whether at a wine bar, winery dinner or big tasting! The Rhone Rangers 2017 San Francisco Tasting in the majestic Presidio’s Golden Gate Club is no exception.
