Berghold 2009 Blend
This red blend is 85% Cab Sauv finished off with Syrah. Mixed berry notes and earthy cedar tones. Picking just one aroma that is driving this is next to impossible. The Syrah definitely does its job of softening the Cab but they aren’t in total harmony. It’s nice on the palate once it settles on the tongue. Not a bad plummy finish.

The nose reveals nuances of blackberries and raspberries, cedar, and finally a hint of spices. Tantalize your taste buds with flavors of black cherries, vanilla, and a hint of plum. The wine pairs nicely with sausage and mushroom pizza, lamb chops, or osso buco.”
