Dancing Coyote 2011 Grüner Veltliner
I found a deal buster! Two bottles for $11.99 at Dancing Coyote Winery! You better head down there soon or you will miss out. This one is a definitely a goody! This is a great white wine for those new to wine. Grüner is a light white wine that is great for sipping and conversation. For those of you new to Grüner Veltliner, like I was, it is an Austrian grape similar to Pinot Grigio. I love great surprises!
Gentle citrus in the nose… especially orange. They follow suit on the palate, joined by peach and a wonderful mineral base which provides a great balance which is what makes it so suitable for the new Wine Snobs out there. I love great wines with “training wheels.” Good stuff.
Retail: x2 for $11.99

Winemaker’s Notes: “The name may be intimidating, but the wine is not. This popular Austrian grape produces a medium-bodied style wine with subtle citrus and white peach flavors, a touch of white pepper and a crisp, mineral finish. It’s no wonder that Grüner Veltliner is a favorite of Arnold Schwarzenegger.”
