Hahn 2011 Pinot Noir

hahn 2011 pinot noirBeing a new age wine snob means finding good wine at an even better price. This is such a bottle. Lots of round, red fruit on the nose.  The raspberries grabbed me first and then the black cherry.  The fruit structure is very balanced making it very drinkable.  If you are not a typical red drinker, this is a great cheap, beginner wine!

(K&S Rating: 3 of 6) – $11.99

Winemaker Notes: “Aromas of black cherry and dark currant come out of the glass with an initial swirl, revealing this wine’s intense black fruit flavors. A sip reveals a full bodied Pinot Noir imbued with flavors of ripe red plums and flecks of allspice. On the palate a slight acidity balances this wine’s supple tannins and supports its long finish.
This wines plush mouthfeel and vibrant flavors make it a great pairing for Chanterelle and Cremini risotto or a grilled lamb chop with rosemary butter.”
