K&S Comments:
“The St. Lucia Highlands is one of my favorite AVAs. I love the fruit that comes off of that mountain. If you have always wondered where that is, it is just South of Monterey and Salinas. Soledad lies just to the South of the range and Wrath is nestled at the base. If you taste in the morning, you are in for a real treat. Sit out by the pond and try to count the number of humming birds and dragonflies around the pond. It is like sitting in an episode on the Discovery Channel. So peaceful and serene. Bring some food and hangout a while on the crushed granite patio and enjoy the exhale. You’ll thank me later. It sounds like this area has a diurnal pattern that I must share. Just as peaceful as it is in the morning, the afternoon can bring consistent winds up from the South, across the pond and right across the patio. Sounds like Wrath should be scheduled as an early appointment. I’ll take humming birds over a windy afternoon any day.
