Lucas Winery 2010 Barbera

lucaswinesLucas Winery 2010 Barbera

You can call this a blueberry and plum number.  At least that is what you will get on the nose. Great spices and a mellow finish.  Not bad but not great.  Tough to jump at this one based on the price point.

Winemaker Notes: “The suspense is over for our Wine Club members. Heather last crafted this wine in 2005 and chose the same Lodi vineyard for our 2010 vintage. Two years of bottle aging after 1 year in French Oak has resulted in a Barbera with less acid than is typical while retaining its rich Italian heritage with youthful fruit and a dark ruby color. Only 102 cases produced. Sorry, but you need to be a wine club member to purchase this wine.”
