Nine Gables 2012 Cal Italia
A woodsy nose infused with fig. The palate starts with plum and wrapping tannins. No foreplay here, right to the action. The angular, edgy acids are short term players. They back off quickly and glide away smoothly. Ends with a nice acid bump out of no where leaving some spices to linger. I’m not sure if I loved it or hated it. It’s definitely a ride.
