Putah Creek 2011 Barbera
Fresh, juicy blackberries just picked from a creek bed will greet you at the rim of your glass. Well balanced on the palate. Sits comfortably in the mouth. Smooth. Well placed acidity. The grapes do the talking in this wine. Well crafted and an easy drinker. Not as spicy as this varietal can be. If you are a wine snob still rocking the training wheels, pay attention. This is a nice bottle up your alley.

Winemaker Notes: “This wine will greet you with an invigorating nose of blackberry, cherry and vanilla with notes of spice. Juicy flavors of blackberry, plum and dark cherry are complimented by a hint of clove. This intense ruby red vintage is persistent and full in the mouth with good balance, nice acidity and light tannins. A long finish leaves you with rich currants and spice.”
