Revolution 2012 Zinfandel

Mint and bright red fruit. Smells sweet and playful. Initially offers some tobacco leaf that runs straight to the back of your throat. A secondary oak tone is welcomed and settles the show. The tannins are tight and give you quite the squeeze. The squeeze leaves your mouth wet while those rascally tannins continue to skulk around the back of your mouth for longer than seems possible. Now that’s a big finish. Big Zin time!

Winemaker Notes: “Decades of thoughtful sculpting have resulted in the balance of each individual vine at Joe Aparicio’s vineyards in Sutter Creek, California. The pristine clusters of Zinfandel fruit and French Oak produce a bouquet of freshly picked strawberries accented with the flavor of black pepper and anise. Elegant and diverse, with a light body and long finish, you can take it on any gastronomic expedition.”
