Due Vigne 2013 Chardonnay

March 5th, 2015 | No Comments

Due Vigne 2013 Chardonnay An “unoaked” Chard served at room temperature. Before I could even ask about the temperature, the Tasting Room Manager Jeremy offered that they found the wine never showed its true personality when served chilled. I guess you could say this wine needs to “warm up” to company. (See what I did there? […]

Revolution 2013 Chenin Blanc

January 20th, 2015 | No Comments

Revolution 2013 Chenin Blanc Not sharp. Apricot, pear and peach with a hint of floral honey. Mellow tones on the palate. The acids are direct but not easy going. The finish is delightfully sour. Full of wet. It hangs out for a solid adventure. Wine newbies, a great wine for you! A great afternoon sipper. […]

Elevation Ten 2013 Pinot Grigio

December 28th, 2014 | No Comments

Elevation Ten 2013 Pinot Grigio Looks dainty in the glass. Is that banana in there? The nose is passively inviting. Some citrus notes dabble and maybe a bit of green apple to keep things interesting. She feels dry and clean like a fall breeze. The green apple grows on the mid-palate. Sharply snappy and plucky. Retail: […]

Carvalho 2010 Boat Shed Red

December 19th, 2014 | No Comments

Carvalho 2010 Boat Shed Red A mixed vintage blend of mostly Tempranillo with Old Vine Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and maybe a dash of Dolcetto. A spicy raspberry nose to start. The mouth is tart and tannin filled. The tannins are soft but big like a new fluffy blanket. The finish get green vegetable and farmers table. […]
