Trione 2010 Pinot Noir

Big black cherry and a sparkle of mint here and there.  Woodsy for sure.  Smells wonderful!  A wonderful acidity spreads out and keeps you interested.  The structure provides a smooth transition between characteristics.  The acidity on the mid-palate transitions smoothly into a long spice mingled finish. Luckily I got to enjoy this during a great dinner at a great Sacramento restaurant, Hock Farm.

Winemaker Notes: “This wine is filled with aromas of black cherries coupled with forest floor, subtle earthiness, loam, and notes of damp redwoods. On the palate the wine is rich and velvety with lingering hints of sage, plum and allspice. This Pinot Noir shows the cool season but with depth and intensity. This wine will age with grace for  5-10 years.”
