Cycles Gladiator 2012 Chardonnay
Light citrus in the nose. My best description is a lightly sugared orange sherbet for grown ups. Nice acid structure which has an interesting characteristic of getting “wide” across your palate very quickly and then slows down once it gets to your back of your tongue.

Winemaker Notes: “Light and medium bodied, this wine shows aromas of green apples and pears.
This fruit forward yet focused, Chardonnay shows medley of tropical and continental aromas in the glass. Initially, this golden colored wine issues aromas of pineapples and unripe bananas, giving way upon a first sip to veiled flavors of ripe pears and baked green apples. Evenly balancing crispness and sweetness, this medium bodied wine finishes with a hint of vanilla creaminess that rounds out its clean presence on the palate.
Lean rather than luscious, this crisp wine perks up the flavor in a pear-endive salad with blue cheese and walnuts, while it can also balance the richness of a piece of pan seared halibut with a pat of parsley butter.“
