VML 2012 Bradford Mountain Blend

The blueberries and plum are great.  They will waft out of the glass and come looking for you.  Dig deeper and you’ll get some illusive smoky notes. A great blend concept. It just works. Well made for sure.  If you pour this with others around, keep it nearby or there won’t be any left when you get back to the bottle.  Pop this on a spring rainy day, pour it, stay in your chair and enjoy.  This is a keeper!

Winemaker Notes: “A blend of fruit from our own Grist Vineyard and other great sites, one in the eastern hills and another on the valley floor. The wine is comprised of 66.3% Zinfandel, 19.3% Petite Sirah, 14.4% Syrah and is aged in French oak for 10 months. Intricate aromas of blueberries, ripe plum, crushed blackberries, acai, nicotiana and licorice mingle together in the glass. The palate follows the nose with more blueberry, chocolate, sassafras, clove and smoked paprika. A supple wine with soft tannins.”
