iBrand

"We did not set out to make these wines. We discovered great vineyardsa at the edge of sensible farming and decided to bring them to light."

“If I were to list my top 5 wine brands, iBrand is definitely on the list. Tops in juice quality, value, varietal diversity and consistency across dozens of wines. It’s an impressive brand. The tasting room is modest and urban so don’t expect vineyards. It’s a bit like Ian Brand the owner and winemaker. He’s modest, intelligent and to the point. No need for frills, a place to spin wax, some dope maps and lots of legit juice. Ian is a dirt geek and loves things that grow. His winemaking practices are organic without the hoopla. He can’t see making wine any other way. I cannot say enough good things about this brand. I’m a fan and buy this wine consistently.”

• In Carmel Valley Village, not “By the Sea.”
• Intimate small tasting room. Not a large group affair.
• He makes lots of wines. The list is always changing.
• Incredible value in these wines.
• It’s all about the dirt and acids.
