"Tercero wines concentrates on small lot, hand crafted wines using grapes exclusively from leading Santa Barbara County vineyards and works with grapes from nearly every AVA within the county. Though his main concentration is working with rhone varieties, Larry remains curious and therefore also works with pinot noir, gewurztraminer, cabernet franc, and a few other fun and interesting grapes. And therein lies the beauty of Santa Barbara County."

“Tercero is the typical small, boutique story you’ll find in Santa Barbara County where the huge industrial brands are few and far between. Larry, owner/winemaker, seeks to explore his own palate and winemaking style with each vintage. He is not one to let grass grow under his winemaking feet. He is also a wonderful guide exploring his wines. He uses a great balance of high brow wine-speak-ease with casual chatter to make you feel relaxed and learning without actually putting on your pupil hat. He’s clever that way. Look forward to mostly Rhône varietals and a less obtrusive winemaking style. It’s a great stop.”
