Baiocchi

"From the moment the idea took shape to produce premium, small lot wines, we have stayed focused on the land, the fruit, the wine, and the life. With that in mind, our mission is to produce fine wine, from exceptional grapes, grown in a high altitude setting. As we continue to learn about balance and harmony, and their relationship to winemaking, we consider the individual elements from which wine is derived: soil, water, fruit, and craft. From the composition of the soil, to the handling of the grapes, our wines speak to this relationship."

“Baiocchi was a fantastic recommendation from another wine industry colleague. I may have never stopped here otherwise. Sutter Creek isn’t exactly on a main road so I only come here to taste wine. The tasting room is a converted vintage house that sits on the end of Main Street. The house sits back from the street so it isn’t exactly easy to stumble into. I am glad I was persistent because otherwise I would never have met Greg. He is one of those passionate wine characters that makes some really good juice. Here’s a suggestion. Make Baiocchi a first stop, bring a picnic on a comfortable day and enjoy your food, your friends and some of Greg’s great wines. It will be a great start to your day.”
