Stonum Vineyards

"In 1979, the Stonum Family purchased seventeen acres of prime agricultural land in Lodi, California. The property consisted of eight acres of cherries, seven acres of Tokay grapes and a sixty year old farmhouse. The following quote has always been a favorite of Stonum Family matriarch, Joyce Stonum MacPherson, and has guided and inspired the family through the years of hard work and sacrifice: "To accomplish great things we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe." - Anatole France 1896"

K&S Comments:

“Stumbled upon their social media and then took me almost a year to stop by. On the day I did stop by, it was a total fluke driving from another appointment in Lodi that day. Pulling into the driveway of the property, wood is the dominant feature. Beautiful large wooden winery sign and phenomenal, Russian inspired barn is flanked by large Zin vineyards behind. It is a relatively new structure but looks old. Reminds me of the Russian Fort Ross on the CA coast. This is a great picnic spot. There is a large lawn and even a small pond between the Ranch House (which is a rentable) and the tasting room. The lawn has plenty of chairs and tables for a great picnic with the kids and even your dogs. It’s like tasting wine behind your friends Ranch House. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon.”
