Truett Hurst

"Truett Hurst is a short 10 minute drive from downtown Healdsburg. There is no better way to get to know us and our wines then to visit. Be sure to stroll through our Biodynamic gardens, visit with our very friendly farm animals, and let the soothing sound of Dry Creek settle your soul. Our sister winery VML is also open for tastings right next door, and VML Club members enjoy waived or discounted tasting fees at Truett Hurst."

I met then VML brand 10 years ago when I first began this wine tasting adventure. In the wake of COVID, I visited Truett Hurst at their Dry Creek property and was surprised to see a small VML tasting room there. I had no idea that Virginia Lambrix, the owner of VML, was also the winemaker for Truett Hurst. Some of the gang I met at VML years before were at Truett and they were just as genuinely friendly. Since then a big sale and return to family and community has happened along with a move to Healdsburg Square. Now these two brands share a tasting room at the Healdsburg traffic circle a block or so down from the Square.
I loved the Cab Franc & the White Cu·vée and really interested in tasting again soon after their “rebirth.”
