2017 Rhone Rangers – San Francisco Tasting • Part 1

I have heard about this big Rhone tasting for years but never been lucky enough to be invited. This year I finally got my wish and headed to San Francisco.

The event was held in the Golden Gate Club in the picturesque Presidio. The old army base’s Enlisted Men’s club fills it’s three rooms with one fantastic wine maker after the other all sharing their amazing wines. It is wine geek heaven! The biggest problem is that there is only so much time and 70+ winemakers to choose from. It’s easy to walk in circles trying to figure out where to go next.
