Borra Vineyards 2012 Rosé

The color of this rosé is absolutely unreal.  Rosé of carignane… who knew?  You don’t hear that too often.  Once you see the bottle, you’ll want to buy it for presentation alone. Wait until you open it.  Fruity cherries will jump out and bounce around your nose.  It’s enticing for sure.  Crisp citrus and nutty finish.  That was nice! I see this as the perfect pre-dinner wine.  I hate to tell you this is a must have but then tell you that its only available at the winery in Lodi.  It just might be worth the trip.

Winemaker Notes: “Two nearly blood-red Rosés become one, with cherries curling around steely watermelon aromas, accompanied by a touch of mother earth and a hint of honey. A sip starts a rollercoaster of refreshment with a medium-weight, dry-styled grapefruit-tart-strawberry climb before the exhilarating drop into loops of red raspberries with a touch of walnut. 100 cases produced.”
