“Copain (French: Ko-pan.. not Ko-pain) is a Russian River Valley (RRV) rockstar. The winery sits on the ridge looking down into the RRV and they want you tasting your wine with that as your backdrop. This tasting definitely does not suck. Whether seated at their covered tables or in Adirondack chairs, you can’t help but get lost in the almost 180º valley/river view. It’s stunning. The wine style at Copain matches the view. Their Kiser Pinot is lights out ridiculous although I think my favorite is their P2, a Pinot Noir/Pinot Gris blend. Doesn’t sound like it would work but I promise you, it’s legit.”
