“Fog Crest is the passion project of Rosalind Manoogian. As Sonoma County’s only Black woman running a vineyard, she is a bit of a trailblazer. She has been grinding since the late 90s and produced her first vintage in 2005. When I visited, she sat with me and poured wine herself. I get the feeling, Rosalind is like so many brand owners. She wears many hats. Luckily she had time for me today but my guess is that usually, she is a moving target and hard to slow much less stop for a toast. Then again, it’s hard not to slow down to soak up the view from her tasting patio looking out over the Russian River Valley. “
