Story of Soil

"As a small winery we can put more time, attention, and care into our wines (than the larger wineries can afford to, really). So in order to make wines of the highest quality, we: 1. Select vineyards that are farmed with the greatest level of care. 2. Focus on single varietal and single vineyard. Single vineyard allows us to focus on "the place" the grapes are farmed and single varietal will show how each varietal is affected by that place (i.e. soil and microclimate)."

“Story of Soil came highly recommended so I assumed that I was going to enjoy my tasting. Unfortunately, I enjoyed it a bit too much. I am convinced, winemaker Jessica Gasca is making wine personally for me. This hits all my subjective heart emojis. I was lucky enough to get a few bonus pours and by the end, I was hoping for some juice that I was not a fan. That moment never came. I gushed about the wines so much that I didn’t do a good job taking pictures nor writing good notes. Yup, it was that good for me. I guess I’ll have to go back soon. 😍”
