Ripken 2008 El Matador Tempranillo
Raspberries and strawberries will entertain your nose. Some traditional spices will jump into the action soon enough. On your palate, the spices will continue and spread out. Look for an oaky mid-palate and a few tannin “ruffians” to show up and push your tongue around. This darlin is big and likes to play. Definitely would be great with big food. If you are like me and like big wine alone, this is a fun choice. In fact, I’m sipping this one right now as I type. Happy Wine Wednesday!
