Appolloni Vinyards 2010 Pinot Noir
This dream can open tight so wait for it. The vanilla is smooth like a warm blanket in the nose. Dig a little deeper and you’ll find eucalyptus and violets. It’s a pleasing backdrop for the vanilla. Light and refreshing on the tongue is odd to say about a Pinot but it is what it is. Well balanced. Nothing accidental going on here. Finishes crisply with hints of spice and all your left with is a desire to grab the glass again… If you ever put it down.

Winemaker’s Notes:“Our “L Cuvee” label is named in honor of Laurine Apollloni. This wine shows the Willamette Valley’s uniquely brillant balance of fruit, floral and earth. On the palate, this Pinot Noir bursts forth with red fruit and black cherry flavors, with subtle hints of earthiness and toasted vanilla on the finish. This wine is produced from our sustainably farmed, estate-grown fruit. A larger proportion of Pommard fruit yields a unique balance of flavor and tannins. Aged for 17 months, exclusively in French oak, this wine offers great value and reflects the best qualities of the 2010 vintage.”
