From the first second you walk into Banshee in Healdsburg, you will be offered a fantastic experience.  That experience will start with them pouring you their rosé to “cleanse your palate.”  If you are lucky, Kim will be host.  She’s awesome.  She will probably tell you that she calls this the perfect “hot tub” wine.  It’s the wine that there but isn’t there. It just fits.  Just swirl, sip and repeat.  Mount up wine newbies, its time to ride!

They were absolutely right, this is a great wine to cleanse the palate after a big meal or multiple tastings.  I wonder if its the mint notes? This little guy will leave your mouth with a silky, wet feeling.  Nice trick.  Definitely a wine to get the party started.

Winemaker Notes: “The ensuing wine is a pretty light pink hue and on the nose is floral, perhaps even a touch minty. It possesses wild strawberry and understated melon flavors. This is a classy lady!

The 2012 Banshee Rosé makes an ideal aperitif wine. Fair warning: you should have a few bottles on hand at each occasion because this wine goes down insanely quickly. You’ll wonder what happened to the bottle minutes after opening.
