Bray Vineyards 2010 Primitivo
Sweet strawberries and bramble fruit. Little dots of pepper are here and there which makes for a great contrast. The pepper continues onto the palate as gentle tannins expand. After my first taste, something told me to dig back in with my nose which brought the dark fruits to the front. Just as the nose seemed to grow, the tannins also seemed to expand. A light sour twang gets your attention on the finish.

Winemaker Notes: “The predominant theory is that the common ancestor to both is Crljenak originating in Croatia. The wine is rustic, deeply-colored, and highly extracted, with jammy, brambly black fruit flavors offset by aromas of rose petals and chocolate.“
