Due Vigne 2013 Chardonnay
An “unoaked” Chard served at room temperature. Before I could even ask about the temperature, the Tasting Room Manager Jeremy offered that they found the wine never showed its true personality when served chilled. I guess you could say this wine needs to “warm up” to company. (See what I did there? I know… right. There is a science to telling bad jokes. It takes practice folks. I’ll be here all week.)
A soft and unassuming nose. Delicate citrus and maybe a hint of white peach. The palate has a lovely acidic structure. It purrs like a kitten and hovers over the center of your tongue for a bit. Finishes slightly tart. Not too tame and not too aggressive. A great cold weather white. Not bad. Not bad at all.
