Flowers 2012 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
I bright and crystal clear face on this juice. It sits in the glass as if it knows I am taking a picture. Picture perfect. The nose is full of bright, red fruit and herbs. The cranberries smell electric and tart. Once on the palate, they aim to please. The cherry rises through the adventure while the tart characteristics linger through the finish which seems to go on about as long as it takes to get out to their winery way up on the Sonoma Coast. Well done indeed. My wife and I are battling for the last pour. I think she may have polished it off while I was typing. Well done wifey.

Winemaker Notes: “Deep ruby color. Aromas of wild strawberries, cranberries, savory dried herbs and forest floor lift elegantly from the glass. On the palate, flavors of Bing cherry, raspberry, and pomegranate are framed by fine-grained tannins, coastal minerality and bright acidity that culminate on the lengthy finish.”
