St. Amant 2012 Tempranillo
A big kid wine. Newbies need not apply. The nose is full and big. Full of dark ripe fruit. I’m starting to notice a theme with wines from St. Amant. Bold and unapologetic. This rascal is full of spice. The tannins mean business so knuckle up and hold on. Not out of control, just a big experience. Consider this an end of the party wine. Not a bad value either.

Winemaker Notes: “The 2012 Tempranillo celebrates our 12th vintage of this noble Spanish variety that has found a natural home in our estate vineyard. The wine is a big, chewy, well-structured red with full, round aromas of spice, tobacco, and dark fruits. It has a ripe mouthcoating texture that provides a good lengthy finish.”
