Julietta Winery 2012 Syrah

A minty berry start. The fruit is almost masked by the spices. A slightly chalky mouth full of sharp tannins. A deep tart squeeze in the back of the mouth. Not a little wine. Finishes with a hint of raspberries and maybe a caper or two. While rewarding, the finish is short. I found the best action to be on the mid-palate.
