Borjon

"The Borjón family comes from the small town of Paracuaro in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. Isy's parents, Jesus and Nora Borjón, arrived in the Shenandoah Valley over 30 years ago, with passion and drive they built Borjón Winery together, as a family."

“Borjon is an interesting story. The gal the runs this brand literally grew up in the industry. While that is a common story for winemakers and children of owners, Borjon’s owner is not only female but her father was a vineyard worker. That story is not all that common even though the CA wine industry rests solely on the backs of the Latin X community. Borjon has a great southwestern feel despite being smack dab in the middle of Amador. Check the weather before you go because most tastings are held outside. That could be a wonderful thing and that could make for an uncomfortable day if you are not prepared.”
