“Having been a student at UC Davis, this is a part of town I’m not the most familiar with as it’s across town from the college. Great Bear has multiple connections to the school of UC Viticulture making it an idea relationship for both entities. The couple that call this place not only their passion project but home as well are both expats. He is from England and she is from South Africa. (There’s quite the story there…) This place is used to hosting lots of folks. It’s quiet today but the tables, chairs, lounges and large manicured lawn show they are ready to host. I had to get moving for another appointment just as the food truck was arriving. Horrible timing on my part! #fail”
