La Mesa

“Amador’s growth has been stagnant for years. COVID seemed to give a group of people time to devote to their wine inspiration and a handful of new spots have popped up and they are wonderful additions. La Mesa is one of those additions. La Mesa is right on the main drag so it isn’t hard to find. Look for the pretty green umbrellas. The sleek tasting room is almost distracting because beautiful views are everywhere. The views are elevated on their cute patio and they often have live music make for an epic day tasting. La Mesa has a solid winemaking style producing primarily Rhône and Italian varietals. While they have multiple sustainability approaches, the one that stands out to me is their operation is 100% solar powered. That’s pretty impressive. Definitely put this on your visit list.”
