“Phil Long is one of the most prominent winemakers in the African-American winemaking community. From his urban winery in Livermore, CA, just east of the SF Bay Area, Phil holds steady in the industry and lives up to his brands name. The Longevity tasting room is in an industrial complex with a few other brands and they all seem to have a cult like following of local folks that enjoy coming to hang out. Live music, events, you name it, these folks feel like they are part of the family and that is the brand that Phil has created. In recent years, he has teamed up with Bronco wines to get deeper into full distribution space so his wines are on the shelf at Total Wine and other big retailers. Phil is working to pass the baton to his son soon to keep the brand moving into the next generation.”
