Lucas & Lewellen 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon, Special Club Reserve
A Plum and blackberry nose. Lightly acidic on the palate and a gentle tanning structure. If you are thinking big cab with this juice, your on the wrong vine. This is a great light cab. Finish spicy on the rear palate and it doesn’t linger too long.

Winemaker Notes: “This bright, dark purple wine was made from Clone 337 Cabernet Sauvignon grown on our Valley View Vineyard in Solvang, California. Aromas are dominated by a rush of red currant, blackberry jam, summer plums and Bing cherries. The wine unfolds with layers of toasty notes of vanilla and graham crackers. Hints of dry sycamore leaves, pipe tobacco, and vetiver follow. There are spicy notes of cedar, chocolate, and black pepper. The wine is mouth-filling and spreads over the palate with a rich weight upon entry. The tannin structure is bold and elegant. The finish is long and flavorful.”
