Pondl 2010 “The Gent” Cabernet Sauvignon
Fruit is sourced from Suisun Valley. Not a common place to grow your grapes but being only 30 miles east of Napa Valley, why not? It’s a small valley near the eastern edge of the San Francisco Bay Delta. Chocolate notes and dark red fruit. Smooth, easy tannins on the tongue. Basic and linear. Short finish.

Winemaker Notes: “The aristocrat of reds, this Cab is rich in color; chocolate and a hint of smoke, on the nose. Smooth mouth feel, light tannins and full bodied; black currants, oak and jammy on the palate with a white pepper finish. Goes well with beef, lamb, rich cheeses and of course – chocolate! This Cab is classy and well mannered – debonair as a Gent.“
