Villa San-Juliette 2010 Reserve Cabernet Franc

An understated assortment of berries are full of fruit in the nose.  I have a soft spot for Cab Franc and she peaked my interest early.  By the way, this little rascal is big and wants to dance.  The tannin structure is bold and will come and get ya!  VSJ pours this last for a reason.  It’s meaty and delicious so be ready to ride.

Reail: $46

(K&S Rating: 5 of 6)

Winemaker Notes: “The deep color of the wine, verging on the opaque, delivers intensity in it’s robust and fruity taste.   There are flourishing aromas of cocoa, cherry, cola, nutmeg and violet, along with the bold flavors of boysenberry, Bing cherry, plum and raisins, all evolving into dark chocolate. The long, seductive finish leaves you with hints of tobacco, cedar and leather. This wine is the match for winter stews and braised lamb.”
