VML 2012 Floodgate Vineyard Pinot Noir
Blackberries will grab you first. I was really digging around and found some great licorice notes that kept dancing around. I was enjoying it so much I got my nose wet. Oops. Don’t judge me.
Ridiculously well balanced for its age. Expect a crescendo of acidity and then an equal fade to yummy nothingness. I bet this will be dynamite in 5-7 shorts years. If you buy one, please share so I can live vicariously through your palate. The price point is tough for me.

Winemaker Notes: “This vintage of the Floodgate Vineyard Pinot Noir is like a rugged outdoorsman dressed up in a tuxedo. It has earthy and dark undertones while being refined and elegant up front. It displays lush and juicy flavors of crushed blackeberries, licorice, toasted walnut, cranberry and bright cherries. Enjoy this now or lay it down for a few years as this gem will only get better with age!”
