Helwig 2010 Round Up Red Blend
Big blueberries and raspberries in this fruit forward red blend. Not big on tannins making it an easy drinker, great for the patio or table wine. I found it acidic, especially when first opened, so pairing is best. Foccacia and fresh fruit was a good call.

Winemaker Notes: “The Round Up Red has a soft and smooth entry and crescendos into a big meaty wine that gently tapers to a long soft finish. The wine has flavors of dried red fleshy fruit, fresh blackberries and chocolate, with firm well-structured tannins and finishes long with flavors of candied Bing cherries, leather, and pepper. This is a beautiful wine with a very broad but approachable palate.”
