Amador Cellars 2011 Sangiovese

Vibrant, bright red fruit with hints of cinnamon and earth. The nose is great. Plenty of balance. A few folks in the tasting room called this guy zippy. So let’s go with that. Although, once I started playing with it, a zipper kept coming to mind. I know… sounds wacky but give me a chance to explain. The nose is so bright and distinguished, I was expecting an elaborate show in my mouth. It was not to be. Instead, it was an amazing introduction, cross fade to a really long and sparkly zipper/slide of a finish. The acids keep dancing so its not smooth like a slide. It’s a bit like a fancy, musical zipper. A really long zipper mind you cause it fades for a fortnight.
