Andis 2011 Grenache
The nose on this guy is killing me. Smells floral, herbal and fruity. Complex but so simple at the same time. I am really struggling to pin down what I am smelling. Maybe I am just enjoying the juice. Sorry folks, you’ll have to head down to Andis and pick up a bottle. With just under 400 cases produced, I doubt they will last long.
Once on your palate, the acid structure is angular but not so sharp that it scared me away. A newer palate might be though. A pairing would be welcomed. Great sweet fruit like blueberries on the finish. They fill the roof of your mouth while pops of acid lingers as it fades.

Tasting Notes: “Expressing aromas of rose petals, blueberry and mint, the 2011 Grenache possesses a playful mix of spiciness and juiciness. Medium bodied and silky smooth it exhibits flavors of strawberry, cocoa, and cranberry juice. The wine has a distinctively long finish complimented by a rush of raspberry and floral overtones.” • 391 cases
