August Kessler 2010 Pinot Noir

akessler2010pinotnBlueberry and currant are first in the nose. Acidic on the tongue.  Mushrooms, forest wood and slight tobacco flavors to follow. Finishes with a surprising lemon oil.  Rough tannin structure gives it an average finish.  Can be found $17-$20 online only. Interesting German Pinot is worth the taste.

Winemaker Notes: “A delicate, fine Pinot Noir. Light in style but well structured this wine is easy to drink. It shows nice cherry flavors, a hint of black currant and lots of spices. Very well balanced on the palate this wine has a remarkable length and a great finish.”
