Elevation Ten 2011 Cabernet Franc
A nose full of earthy cherry with some white pepper and tobacco. I got my nose wet and it felt like a bit of raspberry as well. An earthy soul.
So balanced. Sits well on the palate. Feels older than it is. The acid structure is so defined its a bit scary. Finishes plumy. Without pomp and circumstance. The acids continue their tingling all the way through the finish. A bit of a reminder to dig back in there.
Retail: $35
(K&S Rating: 4 of 6)
Winemaker Notes: “This well balanced wine has hints of black olive, cherry and plum. With an earthy quality, this wine has sweetness in the mid-pallet and a gentle smokiness on the finish.”
