Kidder Family Wines 2012 Tempranillo
A mixed berry and mint nose. The palate is plummy with a currant tone and full of spices. Pointed but restrained tannins are abundant. Light body makes for a fun and food friendly wine. Playful.
K&S Rating: 4 of 6
Winemaker Notes: “Derived from the Spanish word “temprano” (early), this varietal ripens earlier than other Spanish red grapes. Earthy in nature with hints of leather and cigar, and surrounded by berries, plum and smooth tannins. Consider pairing this wine with their hometown favorites – tapas, pork, grilled or roasted entrees. One sip is not enough…”
