Fields Family 2011 Syrah
A very fruity nose. Jumbles of ripe raspberries. An acidic entrance for what I thought was going to be a whole lot more Shirley Temple. Slightly tannic and alive on the tongue. Tart fruit dominates the palate. Late, silky tannins emerge after the moment you have chalked up the experience. I hate erasing. Then again, I love being surprised by a layered wine. The finish stays long and even. A solid buy at the price point. Not bad at all.
