Kidder Family Wines 2012 Zinfandel
I was delighted with some raspberry and fig notes. Don’t let the fruit completely distract you. The structure is rooted with some great earth tones. It’s a very soothing nose.
A restrained Zin. Very clean style. Just when the acidity began to crescendo, it backed off at just the right time. The tannins rolled in soft and silky and hung around for an eternity like the clouds that adorn the San Francisco skyline. Great juice for the red wine newbie. It was built for a young palate.

Winemaker Notes: “Planted in 1958, this old vine Zinfandel from Maley Vineyards only produced 1.5 tons per acre this vintage. This wine is sinfully delicious full of big flavors and a long finish. One sip is not enough…”
