McConnell Estates 2012 Chardonnay

An atypical Chard.  Not oaked, very fruity full of peach, green apple and sneaky citrus notes.  Great structure on the palate with a nicely delivered acidity.  Good finish for what I thought would be a let down by the big fruit forward start.  At the price point, add in the creative fruit ensemble, this is a winner.  The non-Chard fan says, “Well done!”
