McCay Cellars 2011 Grenache
A delightful balance of mixed berries in the nose. Cherries and french oak are the most notables. I thought this sweet number was going to be a one trick pony. I got no idea the spices would wait until the mid-palate to start playing. They hung out and played for a nice long finish.
McCay is the epitome of the boutique winery. They only make about 200 cases of each wine so not only are they well crafted but once their gone, they are gone. Not to mention, there is not much to buy in the first place.
